Luis Alberto Urrea and Three Minute Fiction …

March 18, 2012

Three minute fiction is back, on NPR’s All Things Considered Weekend Edition, and author/writer Luis Alberto Urrea is the featured round’s author. The piece has to be no more than 600 words and no less than three minutes read, and contain this 17 word sentence — anywhere you want to put it:

“She closed the book, placed it on the table, and finally, decided to walk through the door.”

Ahh, so many ways you can use that sentence. As Luis Urrea implores us, “Be bold, baby. Just jump in there and let us have it.”
